INTRODUCTION

HISTORY OF MEDIATION CENTER MEDIATION IN PAHANG STATE COURT

The Pahang State Court Mediation Center has been implemented since the beginning of 2011 where it is run flexibly during case management, trial, retrial and even at the appeal stage in the High Court. Mediation has been carried out by mediation officers and if it fails, it will be returned to the officer concerned to continue the full hearing. The Mediation process greatly contributes to saving time, energy and costs for all parties involved in disposing of cases that have been filed in Court.

In November 2016, several immediate actions were taken to make the mediation room a fully functional mediation center.
